La Société statistique du Canada (SSC) a annoncé aujourd’hui que le professeur Agnes M. Herzberg a été nommé membre honoraire. Le titre de membre honoraire de la SSC est décerné à un chercheur statisticien de haute distinction qui a contribué au développement des sciences statistiques au Canada. L’identité de la récipiendaire de cet honneur a été formellement annoncée par la présidente de la SSC, Charmaine Dean, à l’Université Memorial de Terre-Neuve à St. John’s, lors du premier jour du Congrès annuel 2007 de la Société.
 

The Statistical Society of Canada has announced that Professor Brajendra Sutradhar has been awarded the 2007 SSC Distinguished Service Award. This award is given to a member of the SSC who has made substantial contributions to the running or welfare of the Society over a period of several years. The formal announcement of this award was made by SSC President Charmaine Dean at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s on the opening day of the 2007 SSC Annual Meeting.
