The CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (CDPF) program provides up to $70,000 plus benefits annually over two years for faculty-supervised projects that offer research, collaboration, teaching, and professional development opportunities to postdoctoral fellows. The goal is to provide a comprehensive training experience that prepares participants for success in a variety of careers related to statistical sciences.
The two-stage application/selection process works like this:
- In stage 1 (now open), faculty members are invited to submit a proposal that includes a research project and other training opportunities; projects approved by the adjudicators are listed on the CANSSI website.
- In stage 2 (starting in November), candidates with recent PhDs in statistics, biostatistics, actuarial sciences, or data science are invited to submit an application that includes a ranking of their preferred projects.
If you are a faculty member who could provide a comprehensive training experience centred on statistical sciences to a postdoctoral fellow, we encourage you to submit a proposal for the 2023 CDPF program by Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Visit the CDPF web page for more information on how to submit a proposal.
