McGill's Biostatistics Program is in an exciting period of change and development. In recent news, Robert Platt is now an editor in chief of Statistics in Medicine, while Alexandra M. Schmidt is the chair of the local organizing committee of the 2022 ISBA World meeting (please see the special article on this topic in this same issue). Erica Moodie has been awarded a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in statistical methods for precision medicine. Michal Abrahamowicz was elected to be honorary member of the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics. Biostatistics is now part of McGill’s newly-formed School of Population and Global Health, and moving to a new location in the heart of downtown Montreal just across the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
