The Accreditation Services Committee of the SSC will be continuing the book club (reading and discussion group) initiative for accredited members, following the success of previous years. 

The goal is to support professional development by bringing applied statisticians together to work through key resources in a collaborative setting. 
 

For 2025–2026, the reading group will take a new direction by focusing on a curated series of academic articles. Discussions will explore topics ranging from how statisticians can integrate AI into their applied work, to the critical role statisticians play in strengthening AI through validation, transparency, and methodological rigor.

Meetings will be held virtually once a month, from November 2025 through April 2026, with each session lasting 90 minutes. The sessions will be conducted in English.  SSC accredited members are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as their schedule allows.
