This session will focus on teaching the modelling and analysis of large-scale and complex data in the statistical sciences. Courses covering these topics are now a mainstay of statistics and data science programs, and approaches to teaching these courses evolve and change regularly to reflect the current state of the art. The purpose this session will be to capture a snapshot of current approaches to teaching the analysis of large-scale and complex data across a cross-section of the statistical sciences, including machine learning and complex networks. This session will benefit those who teach as well as those who wish to develop courses covering these topics.
