Poster specifying that SARGC is seeking nominations for a monthly showcase of students and recent graduates.
Liaison Newsletter

The student and recent graduate committee (SARGC) of the Statistical Society of Canada has started a monthly showcase on our social media platforms, to highlight some of the excellent work being done by students and recent graduates in statistics-related fields. This initiative is created to connect, recognize, and celebrate the accomplishments of students and recent graduates on a national scale. Furthermore, it’s a great platform to promote the nominee's professional and personal profile within the SSC community. Nominations for this monthly showcase are now open! We will be accepting nominations on an ongoing basis using this form.

Nominees must:

  • Be either a current student or a recent graduate (within five years of graduating from their previous degree) in statistics, biostatistics, or a similar discipline, and
  • Be studying, working, or residing in Canada

Nominations may come from faculty members, other students, and recent graduates, or peers. Self-nominations are also welcome.

As a national committee, it is highly desirable that SARGC’s monthly showcase features students and recent graduates from all regions of Canada that reflect the diversity of our membership.
