Dalhousie University invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the rank of assistant professor.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Statistics and a demonstrated record of quality research. The priorities for this appointment are the excellence of the candidate, their ability to initiate a successful funded research program (involving the training of HQP), and potential for excellence in teaching at all levels of statistics—both undergraduate and graduate.
The division of statistics within the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Dalhousie is a collaborative group with long-standing interactions with its medical school and established research excellence in computational biology and evolutionary bioinformatics, machine learning and statistical applications in marine biology and oceanography.
The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter. Consideration of candidates will continue until October 31, 2021.
