Gordon Hilton Fick: As of July 2020, Gordon is Professor Emeritus of Community Health Sciences, University of Calgary. Gordon received his PhD at the University of Toronto in 1978 with the supervision of D. A. S. Fraser. He was a member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, from 1978 until 1987, and then a member of the Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine, until the present time. Gordon has published in mathematical statistics, biostatistics and health research. His research interests are in statistical inference, the research of R. A. Fisher and models for health outcomes. He collaborates with many health researchers. Gordon has served as the president of the Biostatistics Section of the SSC and he chaired the Pierre Robillard Award committee for several years.

 

 

 

Na Li: As of January 2021, Na Li is Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, University of Calgary. Na received her PhD at Western University in 2016 with the supervision of D. A. Stanford in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences. She has been a biostatistician at the McMaster Centre for Transfusion Research from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University. One of her projects, in collaboration with Canadian Blood Services, dealt with blood demand forecasting and inventory management. Her research interests are in the areas of operations research, mathematical modelling, applied statistics and data science in healthcare. She is also interested in applications of statistical methods for health research studies.
