The graduate program of Biostatistics welcomes Dr. Qihuang Zhang who joined the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health (EBOH) in August 2022. Qihuang completed his PhD in Biostatistics in 2020 at the University of Waterloo under the supervision of Professor Grace Yi. Soon after completing his PhD, he started a postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania where he developed methods to combine information from spatial transcriptomics data and scRNA-seq data. His research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning methods to incorporate measurement error, misclassification, spatial information, and graphical structure in genetic association studies, biological imaging data, and genomic data.
