Senior High School Student Wins an SSC Award
Isaac McAuley from the small town of Herbert in Saskatchewan won the SSC award at the 2016 Canada Wide Science Fair. During a summer project, Isaac came across genetic algorithms which sparked his interest for machine learning and artificial intelligence. For his 2016 CWSF project, he uses neural networks to predict the price of Intel stocks. His project entitled 'A "net" profit' is coded using Python. In addition to the SSC award, Isaac was awarded the Bronze medal as well as entrance scolarships from two Canadian universities. You may consult Isaac's profile here.
