CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute's CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (CDPF) program offers recent PhDs in actuarial sciences, biostatistics, data science, and statistics a multi-faceted, statistics-centred research and training experience at selected Canadian universities that includes:

• CDN$70,000+ per year for 2 years
• A research project (25 projects to choose from)
• An interdisciplinary or applied collaboration
• Opportunities for teaching
• Professional development

The aim of the program is to prepare participants for success in a variety of statistics-based careers.

Applicants are also considered for CANSSI-StatLab and CANSTAT-CANSSI Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships.

Application Requirements

• Recent PhD degree in actuarial sciences, biostatistics, data science, or statistics with thesis successfully defended before September 30, 2026
