Actuarial Science Assistant Professor (or Instructor III)

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a continuing academic position in Actuarial Science starting January 1, 2011. The applicant is expected to teach up to five undergraduate courses in the program each year, assist with the department's actuarial internship program, maintain professional actuarial involvement, and participate in public service and administrative duties.   More information about the Actuarial Science program and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is available at: www.math.uregina.ca More information about the Faculty of Science is available at: http://www.uregina.ca/science/

Qualifications:

An applicant may be a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society with related work experience. Alternatively, an applicant may be an Associate of the Society of Actuaries or an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, with also a PhD. or a Master's degree in an area of study related to actuarial science. A Ph.D. and evidence of a strong independent research program is required in order to be considered for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
