TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN STATISTICS
The Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca/mqg) offers a stimulating environment with 23 professors, two full-time lecturers and one full-time faculty lecturer. The department's researchers are specialized in Statistics, Operations Research and Financial Engineering. Our M.Sc. program in administration offers several specializations including: Business Intelligence / Data Mining, Business Analytics and Financial Engineering. A Ph.D. program in administration is offered jointly with McGill University, Concordia University and UQÀM.
The Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal is looking to fill a position of professor in Statistics for June 1st, 2015.
REQUIREMENTS - The candidates must :
- Have completed (after 2005) or nearly completed a Ph.D. in Statistics or in a related field (such as Data Science, Data Mining or Statistical Learning).
- Show outstanding teaching abilities. Be able to teach in French and in English at the Bachelor, Master, Ph.D. and MBA levels.
- Show strong abilities in research and have a clear interest in publication.
- Be able to supervise students at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.
- Have a desire to get involved in the administration of the department and of HEC Montréal.
The interested candidates will send their curriculum vitæ (specifying their citizenship) along with a presentation letter. They will also send their teaching evaluations (if available) and the names and coordinates of three references. All material must be received by October 15, 2014.
