FULL-TIME LECTURER POSITION IN STATISTICS

HEC MONTRÉAL, Department of Decision Sciences

START DATE: June 1st, 2015
SALARY SCALE: $67,690 to $95,727

The successful applicant will normally teach 24 credits per year, coordinate different courses and programs, and participate in the selection and supervision of sessional lecturers. Full-time lecturers prepare the teaching material for the courses under their responsibility and participate in the creation, evaluation and grading of the related quizzes and exams.

After a positive evaluation following the probationary period, the successful applicant will be offered a permanent contract.

PROFILE:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (candidates with Doctorate degrees will also be considered).
  • Teaching experience at the College or University level.
  • Excellent skills as an educator of specialized knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge of the field specific software and technological environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to teach effectively in both French and English.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to coordinate staff members.
  • Concrete examples of teaching material development in a field related to Statistics.
  • Knowledge of online learning tools.
  • Relevant certifications.
  • Practical experience in statistics.
