Artificial Intelligence in Statistical Education: Applications and Innovations
Personalized education is vital for helping students achieve learning outcomes, yet delivering individualized instruction has long been challenging. Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) offer new opportunities to enhance teaching and learning. While general-purpose AI tools such as ChatGPT are useful, they may not fully align with the diverse needs and proficiency levels of individual students. To address this gap, we explore customized ChatGPT-based systems for statistical education. These specialized chatbots support the learning of introductory statistical methods using R and Python. By aligning AI responses with students’ proficiency levels and curriculum goals, these tools promote deeper understanding and meaningful engagement. Customized AI systems therefore offer an effective approach to advancing personalized learning in statistics education.

L'éducation personnalisée est essentielle pour aider les élèves à atteindre leurs objectifs d'apprentissage, mais offrir un enseignement individualisé a longtemps été un défi. Les progrès récents en matière d'intelligence artificielle (IA) offrent de nouvelles possibilités pour améliorer l'enseignement et l'apprentissage. Si les outils d'IA à usage général tels que ChatGPT sont utiles, ils ne répondent pas toujours parfaitement aux besoins et aux niveaux de compétence variés de chaque élève. Pour combler cette lacune, nous explorons des systèmes personnalisés basés sur ChatGPT pour l'enseignement des statistiques. Ces robots conversationnels spécialisés facilitent l'apprentissage des méthodes statistiques introductives à l'aide de R et Python. En alignant les réponses de l'IA sur les niveaux de compétence des élèves et les objectifs du programme, ces outils favorisent une compréhension plus approfondie et un engagement significatif. Les systèmes d'IA personnalisés offrent donc une approche efficace pour faire progresser l'apprentissage personnalisé dans l'enseignement des statistiques.
