The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Statistics. Appointment at a higher level may be possible under exceptional circumstances. We offer an excellent research environment with a normal teaching load of 2.5 courses per year. The successful candidate will establish his/her own research program, supervise graduate students, and teach Statistics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.


Applicants are expected to have a PhD (or international equivalent) degree in Statistics or Biostatistics, demonstrated accomplishments and outstanding promise in research in an area of Statistics, as well as a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching.
