Job description

The Département de mathématiques et de statistique is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Statistics, Biostatistics or Data Science.

Responsibilities

The appointed candidate will be expected to teach at all three levels of the curriculum, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and reputation of the University.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Statistics, in Biostatistics, or equivalent doctorate (candidates completing dissertation will also be considered)
  • Excellence in research is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to teach
  • Proficiency in the French language*

  • Four letters of recommendation are also to be sent directly by the referees. Without being a requirement, it would be advisable that they include comments on teaching aptitude.
