Getting to Toronto
By Air
You can travel either to Lester B Pearson International airport (YYZ) or the Toronto City airport (YTZ). Both are roughly a 30 minute drive from Hart House and you should not have any trouble finding a taxi to take you there.
Alternatively, from Pearson you can take public transit (TTC); take bus 192 (Airport Rocket) to Kipling subway station, then take the subway to St George station. This usually takes about an hour. From Toronto City airport you can take the (free) shuttle bus to Union station, then take the subway (Yonge-University-Spadina line towards Downsview) to either Museum or St George station.
By Rail
If you are travelling by train, Via rail operates services to Union station. There are reasonably frequent connections to Ottawa, Kingston, and Montreal.
From Union station, you can either take the subway (Yonge-University-Spadina line towards Downsview) to Museum or St George stations (this takes about 15 minutes), or you can walk (around 40 minutes).
By Bus
Greyhound offers bus service from several cities (e.g. London, Waterloo, Kitchener, Guelph, St Catherine’s). From the Greyhound bus terminal, you can either take the subway from St Patrick station heading north to Museum or St George stations (this takes about 15 minutes), or you can walk (around 20 minutes).
If you are coming from St Catherine’s, Guelph or Hamilton, you can also take GO transit. This will take you to Union station.
By car
Parking in downtown Toronto tends to be expensive, so be prepared to pay anywhere from $10-$30 per day. There is a map of parking lots on campus at http://www.transportation.utoronto.ca/parking/rates/. The parking garage at Princess Margaret Hospital usually has space available.
