TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN STATISTICS

the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Data Science for Real-Time Decision Making
The Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca/mqg) offers a stimulating environment with 24 professors and two full-time lecturers. The department's researchers are specialized in Statistics, Operations Research and Financial Engineering. Our M.Sc. program in administration offers several specializations including: Business Intelligence / Data Mining, Business Analytics and Financial Engineering. A Ph.D. program in administration is offered jointly with McGill University, Concordia University and UQÀM.
The Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal is looking to fill a position of professor in Statistics for June 1st, 2016.
REQUIREMENTS - The candidates must :
- Have completed or nearly completed a Ph.D. in Statistics or in a related field (such as Data and Decision Science, Data Mining or Statistical Learning).
- Show outstanding teaching abilities. Be able to teach in French and in English within two years.
- Show strong abilities in research and have a clear interest in publication.
- Be able to supervise students at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.
- Have a desire to get involved in the administration of the department and of HEC Montréal.
- Have the desire to be involve with the CERC in «Data Science for Real-time Decision Making».
