Position: Ten (10) Month Term Position - Assistant Professor

The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for 10-month contract position (July 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022) at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will be expected to teach broadly across the Mathematics or Statistics curriculum. Applicants from all areas of Mathematics and Statistics are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  •  A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field, or an MSc equivalent experience;
  • Demonstrated teaching ability, and a commitment to providing high-quality undergraduate teaching;
  • A record of innovative research is also an asset

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

About UPEI:

The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at UPEI consists of eighteen professors and two instructors, and offers programs in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, and Video Game Programming. The School is currently in a period of growth, with the addition of new faculty, the development of graduate programs, and increased collaboration with local industry.
