And thus, 2022 comes to a close, and the SSC enters its 51st year of existence. In the past year, Canada has hosted dozens of conferences and workshops in statistics, many talented Canadian statisticians have become accredited by the SSC, and many others have received awards for their outstanding achievements inside and outside of academia. While the accolades are too numerous to list, I leave you with a 2022 Liaison word cloud, an amusing if slightly inelegant visual summary of the year. Furthermore, I encourage you to contribute to Liaison in 2023 to let everyone in the SSC know what is happening in your corner of the country. Happy New Year!
