Upcoming award deadlines for Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies awards

The Fisher award is given in very high recognition of meritorious achievement and scholarship in statistical science and recognizes highly significant impact of statistical methods on scientific investigations.  Nominations for the Fisher Award close on December 15th.  http://community.amstat.org/copss/awards/fisher-lecturer

The Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) is accepting nominations for three other awards until January 15th.  The COPSS award is given to a young member of the statistical community in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession of statistics.  http://community.amstat.org/copss/awards/presidents

The George W. Snedecor award honours an individual who was instrumental in the development of statistical theory in biometry and has noteworthy recent publications in biometry. http://community.amstat.org/copss/awards/snedecor

The Florence Nightingale David award is awarded to a female statistician who serves as a role model to other women by her contributions to the profession through excellence in research, leadership of multidisciplinary collaborative groups, statistics education, or service to the professional societies.  This award is sponsored jointly by COPSS and the Caucus for Women in Statistics.  http://community.amstat.org/copss/awards/fn-david
