The 32nd Annual Meeting of the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC) will be held at the Université de Montréal from Sunday May 30, to Wednesday June 2, 2004. It is jointly organized by the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and the Département de mathématiques et de statistique of the Université de Montréal. The Program Committee is chaired by Christian Genest (Université Laval); Local Arrangements are coordinated by Christian Léger (Université de Montréal).

More than 500 registrants are expected at this conference, which will bring together researchers and users of statistics and probability from academia, government, and industry. The meeting will feature three workshops, some 40 Invited Paper Sessions, and numerous Contributed Paper Sessions. See below for a detailed program, a description of the workshops, and detailed information concerning registration, accommodation, transportation, and submission of abstracts.

All conference activities (workshops and committee meetings included) will take place at the Université de Montréal, located on the north side of Mount Royal. Most of them will actually be held at the André-Aisenstadt and Claire-McNicoll buildings [map], which are easily accessible from the downtown conference hotels, either by subway (called Métro) or by bus. Special rates have also been negotiated with the university residences.

The banquet will take place Tuesday night, June 1, at the Chalet du Mont Royal, which affords a breathtaking view of the downtown district.
