Data are everywhere and statisticians have the skills to transform that data into useable information. Statisticians play key roles in industry, government, and academia to solve problems that impact diverse areas such as manufacturing, technology, health, and policy. A statistics professional possesses skills from formal training that can produce high quality statistical-based information that can guide decision-making.

 

SSC Accreditation allows employers to have objective assessments of statisticians and SSC Accredited statisticians will have skills in applying statistics, possess sound oral and written communication skills, follow ethical practices, participate in professional development, and access to a mentorship program. Employers advertising and hiring P.Stat. and/or A.Stat. SSC Accredited statisticians will attract highly skilled candidates for employment and maintain a professional statistical practice group.
