Terms of Reference


The ad hoc Committee on Financial Procedures was established by a motion of the Board of Directors on March 8, 2017.


Chair: John Koval
Core members: Executive Director, Treasurer
Other members: The Chair may choose to add members to the committee.

Terms and Duties:

To clarify and document policies and procedures related to financial transactions and related matters, including, but not limited to, approval of invoices for payment, signing authorities, procedures for Section Treasurers, the approval process for travel expenses of Board members and Committee chairs, expenses for annual meeting attendees. For certain procedures, the committee's role will be principally to document existing practices, but for other procedures, it may recommend changes. The committee may also recommend the implementation of new procedures. The committee is expected to produce an interim report by Dec. 31, 2017.
